Can I Do a Drive Cycle with the Wheels Off the Ground?

Hi. I've got an interesting question. A buddy said he got to do his car's drive cycle in his driveway with the wheels lifted off the ground. Is this possible?
Answer:

Do not perform a drive cycle with the wheels off the ground. Not only would it be extremely dangerous, but certain parameter which the ECU needs in order to run portions of the drive cycle might not be met. posted by SmogTips Support
