O2 Monitor Incomplete Counts As Smog Check Failure?
Does having an oxygen sensor monitor not setting count as an emissions related failure? The car in question is a 2000 Saturn LS1 2.2. I know it's not going to pass the smog test. Just making sure that an incomplete monitor counts as an emissions related failure. Thanks. Answer:
Yes, an incomplete emissions monitor or an emission monitor which is not READY and does not allow the vehicle to pass the smog inspection is considered to have caused a smog check failure and qualifies the vehicle as having failed the emissions test.
