Porsche Cayman Smog Check with Modified Engine

I own a 2014 Porsche Cayman 2.7 liter engine with an aftermarket turbo charger. How do I get it smog certified in California? If it passes a tail pipe test, can I get a smog certificate?

Answer:

Unfortunately, unless the aftermarket turbo charge which the engine has been modified with is CARB (California Air Resources Board) certified, the vehicle can not pass the smog check unless the component is removed and the original emissions configuration is restored.
