Aftermarket Turbo Kit for a 1994 Porsche Cayman

I would like to install an after market turbo kit on the 1994 Porsche Cayman with the 275HP engine. Is there a way to have it smog individually tested and approved in California without having the entire turbo installation approved by the CARB?

Answer:

The turbo unit itself must be CARB approved (EO number stamped). The unit must be CARB approved for use on a 1994 Porsche Cayman, with specifically your engine configuration. So technically it's one EO number, but the component must be able to fit in with the rest of the emissions system.
