Infiniti I30 check engine light on 60 miles after passing smog check?!?!

How likely is for my 2000 Infiniti I30 to pass the smog inspection and less than 60 miles later, the "Service Engine Soon" light to turn on? Thanks.

We can say that it's not common, but can't discount it being coincidence either. Your best bet is to have the vehicle diagnosed to learn the reason for the Service Engine Soon light's illumination. posted by SmogTips Support
