Smogging my Cadillac Eldorado with MI tags.

On 1/13/12 I will be registering my 1989 Caddilac Eldorado in CA that was just delivered to me from 2 yrs in storage in Michigan. I have an appointment at the DMV. Can I bring it in for a smog check before my appointment or do I need to visit the DMV first?
Answer:

Yes, you may obtain a smog check prior to visiting the DMV. In fact by doing so you will save time. If you visit the DMV first they will have you pay the registration fees, show proof of insurance, and then proof of smog check. Which means prior to getting your tags you'd need to go get a smog check and come back to the DMV. posted by SmogTips Support
