Failed smog test because of visable smoke out tail pipe. 2002 chrysler sebring convertible. I passed the emissions & functional test but failed with visible smoke at idle & bar snap test. Neither I nor several friends can see visible smoke when we slam the throttle. It is an out of state car. Answer:
We can only recommend getting a second opinion from another smog station. You may also choose to report the incident to the BAR and ask that a smog check referee office inspect your vehicle.
The simplest way is to get a second smog check, and if your Sebring passes, return to the first smog station and figure out an amicable solution.
