Does a 2006 Nissan Sentra have an EGR Valve?

CA Car registration says I need to get my Nissan Sentra smog checked (had it done 3.5 years ago when I moved to CA, passed ok) so I went and it failed. Tech said EGR missing/tampered with, so I checked with my mechanic who said car wasn't missing anything, label underhood says no EGR in the car. So I tried going back to the tech, who said the book said EGR needed, he didn't car what the label said. So I got a second opinion where my mechanic said, guy there checked the label and said my car didn't need EGR, and that the label trumped the book, and the first tech was an idiot. He was closing shop, so I had to make an appointment for a check later. Is what he said true? And can I get my money back from the first place?
Answer:

Our MOTOR INFORMATION SYSTEMS Emission Application Guide indicates your 2006 Nissan Sentra should be eqipped with an EGR valve as well. We recommend having a California Smog Check Referee smog check your Nissan. You can contact them at (800) 622-7733 for an appointment.
