What smog equipment does a Chevy Blazer K5 454 need?
I own a 1979 Chevy Blazer K5 with a 454 engine. I need to know what smog parts are required for it to pass the California smog check. The person who gave me the Blazer just put the engine in and got it drivable but nothing is hooked up to the motor. The a/c, the cruise control, the radiator, nothing is hooked up. Answer:
A 1979 Chevy Blazer equipped with a 454 engine requires a non-computer controlled 4 barrel carburetor, PCV valve, Air Cleaner Pre-Heat Duct, Air Injection Pump (smog pump), EGR valve, EVAP system, and OC type Catalytic Converter.
