Passing Smog Check with Fuel Cell in Mazda B3000

I was wondering if it is possible to pass the visual portion of the smog check with a fuel cell instead of the stock fuel tank?

Answer:

Check the Air resources Boards (http://arb.ca.gov) website to see if this fuel cell is approved for use in California. If so it will have an EO number issued to it, and only then will it pass the smog check. If it is not approved for California street use it will fail the visual portion of the smog check inspection as an "emissions tamper". posted by SmogTips Support
