2000 Acura Integra GSR B18C1 Engine Trouble Code P1399

I have a Acura Integra that randomly pops up trouble code P1399 every other day. I did a full tuneup to it. Wires, spark plugs, coil. Also valve lash adjustments 6 times and timing adjustment 6 times.. and P1399 still comes up every other day. Most the time it doesn't turn on the check engine light; its just a ghost code. Once in a while it comes up with the check engine light light. Thanks in advance

You've got a very difficult trouble code to diagnosis. P1399 is a random misfire code. Acura has indicated this problem can be related from fuel injection, engine compression, EGR system plugged up, to valve adjustment. We're afraid you will need a mechanic that specializes on Acura B18C1 engines, especially if you've done any sort of modification to this engine. posted by SmogTips Support
