Will my 2002 Toyota Camry Pass After Check Engine Light Reset?

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry LE and it's due for smog check. I need to know if it will pass the smog test after I have reset the check engine light over a year ago because of a catalytic converter issue. I replaced the catalytic converter about 2 years ago. Someone mentioned something to me about emission monitors.

If your Toyota Camry's check engine light did not turn on again after the reset and the fault which caused the check engine light to illuminate in the first place was repaired (in this case we're assuming it was a Catalytic Converter issue), then yes, your Toyota Camry should have by now "completed" its drive cycle and set all emission monitors to READY status. The concern with resetting the check engine light is that while the ECU is cleared of trouble codes and the check light turned off, emission monitor "readiness flags" (Emission Monitors) are also cleared. With out emission monitors at READY status a vehicle can not pass the smog check. It usually take 200-300 miles of city/highway driving to complete the monitors. In this case long enough time has passed since your cleared the check engine light last. And as mentioned, if no new problems exist, and if the check engine light is currently off, more then likely your Toyota Camry has already cycled through several dozen drive cycles and has its emission monitors in READY status. If you are unsure, you may always visit a local smog station and ask them to check your Toyota Camry's emission monitors before administering the smog test. posted by SmogTips Support
