Will Tire Pressure Light Being ON Fail the Smog Test?
My car has the Tire Pressure Monitoring System light ON. One of the sensors might be bad. The indicator light is on. It has nothing to do with smog check, so it shouldn't be a problem, right?
Answer:
The tire pressure light will not cause a smog check failure, assuming in fact non of the tires are low in pressure. Worst case scenario, if a tire pressure is low, the smog technician may choose not to inspect the vehicle. More than likely they will add air to the tire and perform the inspection afterwords.
