2003 Chevy Impala failed smog test because of broken cooling fan
I failed my smog test in my 2003 Chevy Impala. It was because of cooling fan. I fixed the problem and had my computer reset. How many miles do i have to drive before it will pass smog? Answer:
Typically you'll need to drive your Chevy Impala through 2 or 3 "drive
cycles" in order to set the proper "readiness flags" and get your Impala to
pass the smog check. Drive cycles vary. Usually 1-2 weeks worth of driving
is enough; somewhere around 100 to 200 miles.
