Silicone Post MAF Air Intake Hose

Would replacing the intake tubes on a Infiniti G37 fail the visual inspection? The tubes are post-maf, pre-throttle body and the crankcase vent hoses are still attached. This component is non-CARB exempt; meaning in order for it to be legal for street use in California it would need to have an EO assigned to it by the California Air Resources Board. If this component does not have a CARB approval it will cause your Infinity to fail the smog check. The smog technician will need to identify your vehicle as having a modified emissions component. posted by SmogTips Support
