I'm bringing my 1999 Honda Accord LX from out of state, will I pass the California smog check?
I am moving from Philadelphia to Cupertino, California in month. My Honda passed the inspection here in Pennsylvania with flying colors; it's in pretty good condition. Will it pass California emission test as it's manufactured for other 49 state emission? Of course thinking everything is fine and no engine check light is on. And what will I require if it is to change emission to meet CA standards? Answer:
Your 1999 Honda Accord LX will not have a problem passing the California
smog check as long as like you mentioned the check engine light is not on,
and your Honda is in good running condition. Just because it is 49 state
emissions legal does not ban it from being registered in California. Your
Honda Accord should no problem getting, and hopefully passing a smog test in
California.
