1989 Chevy Blazer 4.3L - Smog pump missing. Where do I find a smog pump for my Chevy in California?

I just acquired an 89 Chevrolet Blazer 4.3l for $200. It looks decent and runs well. Next morning I noticed a bracket where a smog pump used to be. Where can I find the smog equipment to get it legal again in California? Is this dealer only stuff?
Answer:

The smog pump for your 1989 Chevy Blazer is definitely not "only" a dealer part. If you are capable and comfortable to do the installation of the smog pump yourself, I would recommend you contact a local auto dismantler. You can also call around local auto part stores to find the smog pump but more then likely since the vehicle is older you'll need to special order the smog pump and it will cost you more. Your best bet is a local junk yard which carries Chevy Blazer parts. The smog pump and hoses for your Blazer should not be hard to find.

If you do run into problems locating the smog pump you can always contact the state's Hard-To-Find parts locator at (800) 622-7733.
