Will a 2008 Nissan Sentra from Idaho Pass CA Smog?

I am thinking about purchasing a 2008 Nissan Sentra from Idaho and I am concerned that it will cost me big bucks to get it to pass California emissions. It is very low mileage, but will I have to add some kind of smog pump or special exhaust system to pass the California smog check?

Answer:

A used federal emissions certified vehicle (out of state 2008 Nissan Sentra for example) which has all the Federal required emission components can pass the California smog inspection and be registered in California with out any emission system modification. posted by SmogTips Support
