Unable to Find Thermo Switch for 1986 Toyota Pickup

The part #89427-35010, is Thermo Switch 2, and controls early warm up mixture characteristics. Supposed to open at 18-43 Celsius. Pretty deep internet search cannot find a replacement, though businesses initially list the part. My Toyota dealer is unable to find one: part's discontinued. Local wreckers are unable to assist. How do I find a replacement? Or find an aftermarket unit I can adapt?

They might be able to help you find the thermo switch for your carbureted 1986 Toyota Pickup and bring the vehicle into compliance with state smog check laws. If the parts locator is unable to find you a thermo switch and this component is the only part needed which is stopping your Toyota Pickup from passing the smog check, the state's smog check referee's office may be able to issue you a "Limited Parts Exemption".
