Using California Smog Check for Nevada Car Registration

Can I renew my Nevada car registration with a California smog test? I'm currently in California and my Nevada registration is due.

More than likey not. We recommend contacting the Nevada DMV for confirmation. We can tell you with certainty that if your vehicle was in Nevada and required California car registration, California would not allow a Nevada emissions inspection in lieu of a California emissions inspection. posted by SmogTips Support
