I'm planing on buying a 1978 Harley Davidson golf cart. Will it need a smog check?

Will a 1978 Harley gold cart need a smog test in California?
Answer:

A golf cart can not be legally driven on California public roadways and therefore does not need a smog inspection. Furthermore there is no DMV registration process for a golf cart. posted by SmogTips Support
