New 2010 Lexus ES350 from Arizona. Will it meet California smog requirement?
Just got a new 2010 Lexus ES350 from a dealer at Los Angeles. Noticed that the MSRP show dealer name at Arizona. That car was shipped from Long Beach to the Arizona dealer and back to Los Angeles. Will it meet all California smog requirment? Answer:
If in fact your Lexus ES350 is new, meaning it is a 2010 production year
model and has less then 7500 miles, AND its emissions sticker under the hood
states it is not California emissions certified and only 49-state emissions
certified (federal only), then yes, you will have a problem getting your
Lexus registered in California. I have a feeling however that the dealership
you bought your new Lexus from has already guaranteed the vehicle is a
California emissions certified car and that you will not have a problem
registering in California. I can't image they would sell you a car you can't
get registered here.
