1994 Jeep Sport Failed Smog Test with new Catalytic Converter

I have had two different catalytic converters installed and my Jeep Sport still fails the smog test. Is there an exemption for cars that WILL NOT pass the test no matter what my mechanic does?

Unfortunately there is no option for an smog test exemption for you Jeep. I'd encourage you to have an expert smog check repair station accurately diagnose your Jeep's smog inspection failure. It seems as though the Catalytic Converter on your Jeep is not the problem, and there is something more serious causing your Jeep to fail the smog test. posted by SmogTips Support
