1992 Cadillac Sedan DeVille failed smog test and repairs are too expensive
I was going to sell my 1992 Cadillac, but it failed as a Gross Polluter. The auto mechanic I took it to said that it needed new fuel injectors and possibly a new catalytic converter. The estimate for the fuel injectors is $1700 and the catalytic converter would be an additional $800, at least. Is there any help offered by the Consumer Assistance Program? How do I apply for it? Answer:
If you are Income Eligible you may apply to California CAP program which
will pay up to $500.00 towards smog check repairs for your Cadillac Sedan
DeVille. But you must apply first and wait for approval. Do not spend any
money on your own, you will not be reimbursed.
