1989 Dodge Caravan 3.0 liter engine Check Engine Light is on and failed.

Well, I fixed the issues that were causing the hard code and check engine light, but I don't understand how the Factory wants us to turn off or RESET the Maintenance NOW light off? I was reading you have to reset it, or the smog shops need too? Can you tell ME how I might be able too myself?

If the light you're referring to is in fact the "maintenance" light and not the check engine light, there's no need to worry. The maintenance light is not part of the smog check inspection. Only the "check engine" light is inspected as part of the smog test. As far as turning off the maintenance light for your Dodge Caravan unfortunately this is a procedure only the dealer can do as far as our knowledge. posted by SmogTips Support
