1995 Nissan 200sx - Check Engine Light is On for bad oxygen sensor.

I have a code reader at home and have checked the check engine light many times. It keeps saying that the oxygen sensor is bad. I have changed it 3 times and still no go. When I drive the car a bit the light comes on with the same code. If I turn the code off or reset the computer before I go to get the smog done will it pass as the sensor is good or could it still fail?
Answer:

Since your Nissan is a pre-1996 model it is an OBD I equipped vehicle and does not have "emission monitors", which means, so long as the check engine light is not on during the smog check, it will pass the smog test regardless of when the computer was reset... with the assumption that it passes the emission portion of the smog inspection as well.
