1995 Ford 460 Motorhome failed smog test for high CO.
My RV's CO measured at 2.09. Max allowed was 1.50. Do you know what the problem might be? Answer:
There can be several reasons your Ford motorhome might produce high CO. The main reason is usually air/fuel mixture. Your Ford's oxygen sensor might be faulty causing more fuel to enter the combustion chamber then needed; resulting in high CO.
It's recommend to have a smog check repair station diagnose your vehicle's fault in order to avoid replacing parts which don't need replacement.
A smog repair station will been diagnosis with a quick look over of the engine; ensuring everything is hooked up properly, nothing appears loose or damaged, and than move on to a more in-depth diagnosis of the fuel management system and ignition system.
