2000 Pontiac Grand Am. Will it meet California smog standards?

I just moved to California from Michigan. I am planning on registering my car but need a smog test. I'm worried that my car will not meet California standards. How does the process go for registering a car from out of state?

You'll have no problem getting and hopefully passing a California smog check. USED out-of-state vehicles require no emissions modifications in order to pass the California smog test, so long as their emissions fall below California emission cutscores.
