Computer failure Chrysler town and country 2003

The computer failure is the only reason my van failed the smog test. They want $900 to replace it because the memory is full and can't be reset. Is there a way I can register my car using just an emissions test and not one that requires computer communication.

The smog check consists of three portions; emissions, functional, and visual. Your Chrysler's computer problem falls under the functional portion of the smog test. Your van can not pass the smog check unless it passes the functional portion, as well as emission and visual. posted by SmogTips Support
