Active Duty Military member with a 03 Ford F150 Registered in WV.

I need to get a smog test to get my truck registered on base. The truck is registered in WV. The truck has aftermarket exhaust and a K&N FIPK intake but other than that it is basically stock. Am i going to fail with these mods even if I am perfectly legal in WV?
Answer:

The aftermarket exhaust might be a problem if it was not built to California emission standards. Check the unit for an EO (Executive Order) number, indicating that it is California Legal. If you can't locate the number stamped on the unit, contact the manufacturer. If it is 50-state legal they should be able to provide you with some sort of documentation (show this document to the smog check facility, they will pass the visual inspection portion of the smog test). The K & N air intake system should be CARB Exempt and street legal in all 50 US States, so long as you personnaly havn't modified any part of the intake system.
