Moving to California with my 1998 Honda Prelude

I have a 1998 Honda Prelude and I did a motor swap to it. I got the motor shiped from Japan and put it in my car. (Never going to pass California smog) I'm stationed in Yuma Arizona for the Marine Corps. I'm about to get out of the Marines and move back to Temecula, California. I have an Arizona drivers license and it's registered in Arizona. How can I keep the car registered in Arizona while living in California? Are their Any loop holes?
Answer:

California State Law requires vehicle owners register their vehicles upon 10 days of establishing employment or residence in California. You will need to smog check your Honda Prelude in order to register it. You may want to speak with a smog check referee regarding the Japanese engine you've installed. You can reach a State Smog Check referee at (800) 622-7733.
