Is my Vanhool Diesel Double Decker Bus exempt from the California smog check?

Hi, I just bought a Vanhool double decker bus for my Limousine company. It has a Diesel Volvo 1989 engine from out of the state of California.

Your Vanhool should be smog check exempt. California's diesel smog test law applies to 1998 and newer diesel powered vehicles under 14,000 GVWR. Diesel testing is implemented as a biennial program similar to the regular smog check. posted by SmogTips Support
