Need to know if there are extra fee on a 2001 Toyota Corolla from Nevada

I'm looking at at buying a 2001 Toyota Corolla. The ad shows Nevada plates on the car even though it's in California, where I reside. I believe it will probably pass California smog inspection, but are there any other hidden costs awaiting me at the DMV, such as sales tax or any other one time fees for bringing it in? Thanks.

You will need to pay California sales tax on the purchase price of this Toyota Corolla even though it has Nevada plates. The vehicle registration fees (DMV fees) will be the same for that of a vehicle with current California tags. posted by SmogTips Support
