Salvaged 1987 Toyota Retiring to the State

If my Toyota has a salvaged title and fails the biannual smog inspection can the income eligible owner still collect $1500 for retiring this car trough CAP?

Answer:

So long as a vehicle is currently registered, or its registration has not expired passed 60 days, it is eligible for the CAP vehicle retirement/buy back program. posted by SmogTips Support
