1983 Mercedes Benz 380sl EVAP Test

I was told today that my Mercedes Benz 380sl does not require an EVAP test during it's smog check. I thought all 1995 and older cars require an evap test. Is this correct.

A 1983 Mercedes Benz 380sl does require an EVAP test during the smog check. All vehicles 1995 & older cars need to have the EVAP system tested during the smog check. The exemption applies to dual tank vehicles and vehicles which have EVAP line not accessible without the removal of body panels. posted by SmogTips Support
