Does a 2008 model year car need a smog check?

My car was built in 2008, and has under 16000 miles on it. Do I need to get a smog test for it?
Answer:

Unless you are bringing this vehicle into California from out of state, no smog check will be required for another 4 years. New California emissions certified cars, trucks, vans, suvs, and motorhomes do not need a smog check for 6 years. posted by SmogTips Support
