2002 Chevy Tahoe - When doing the STAR smog check does the airbag light affect?

When doing the "star smog check" does the airbag light ON affect? I own a 2002 Chevy Tahoe 5.3. It turns on and off every now and then when theres a bump on the road. I'm wondering if this will cause my SUV to fail the Star Smog Check. I would really appreciate an answer. Thank You in advance!

The STAR smog check does not check for a functioning Airbag Light. In fact the smog check inspection, in general, does not check for a functioning Airbag system or Safety Restraint system. Unless the malfunction in either SRS or Airbag System causes the Check Engine Light or Malfunction Indicator Lamp to illuminate, a vehicle can pass the smog check. posted by SmogTips Support
