1995 Mazda truck failed test and applying for vehicle buy back for 1,000 dollars.

My question is how does the state know that my vehicle failed the smog test when I didn't have to send that in with the application? All I sent was the application for the vehicle retirement and with just that info they are going to know the car is too expensive to fix so I am chosing this route - retiring it to your program.

Your Mazda's smog test results are sent to the DMV and the Bureau of Automotive Repairs automatically, and typically within 48 hours. To find out about your vehicle retirement application's status call (866) 272-9642. posted by SmogTips Support
