Chevy Tahoe Trouble Code P0101 Mass Air Flow Sensor

My 1999 Chevy Tahoe LS is showing trouble code P0101. I am wondering if it is safe to drive.

OBDII Trouble Code P0101 indicates a Mass Air Flow (MAF) circuit range and/or performance problem. Basically this means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. Your Chevy Tahoe's PCM detected that the MAF sensor frequency signal is not within a predetermined range of the calculated MAF value for more than 4.0 seconds. You will more then likely not notice any serious drivability problems, although fuel consumption will be affected. posted by SmogTips Support
