2000 Honda Accord Passing Smog Check with SRS Light ON
If SRS and brake lamp warning lights are on, on my 2001 Honda Accord will this cause a smog check failure? If so, can these be repaired under the repair assistance program?
Answer:
The SRS light and/or the Brake Warning Lamp being ON will not affect your Honda Accord's smog check results. The smog inspection does not test a vehicle's SRS Safety Restraint System, however if the smog technician feels there might be an unsafe condition with your Honda Accord he/she may refuse to conduct the smog inpection or if an unsafe condition occurs during the smog inspection he/she may need to abort the smog test.
