What is the smog law and vehicle registration requirements for my vehicle if registered in Texas, but driven in California?

Chevy Silverado. What is the smog law and vehicle registration requirements for my vehicle if registered in Texas, but driven in California? Do I need to smog it? Do I have to register it in California? The car is registered in Texas, but I am currently living in California.
Answer:

The keywords are LIVING and WORKING... If you're doing either of these two things in California you'll need to obtain California vehicle registration within 10 days of arriving to here; and a smog check will be required to complete the registration process since the truck is being brought in from out of state. Your truck will not have a problem passing the California smog test so long as it has been properly maintained.
