What Warning Lights Can Be ON and Still Pass Smog Check?

My car has the warning light for the antifreeze system illuminated on and off due to a pressure issues I need to get a smog check will it fail due to this? No other lights or issues known.

Answer:

The Antifreeze light being ON will not affect your car's smog check results. The smog inspection does not test a vehicle's coolant system, however if the coolant system problem is causing overheating problems, then yes, the emission test might fail if your car produces high NOx (because of high engine temperatures. Also if the smog technician feels there might be an unsafe condition with your car he/she may refuse to conduct the smog inspection or if an unsafe condition occurs during the smog inspection he/she may need to abort the smog test.
