2001 Ford F-150 Supercrew Lariat

I am moving to California in about a month and I am trying to decide if I should bring my truck or sell it before I move. Is it likely that my 2001 Ford F-150 Supercrew Lariat with almost 200,000 miles will pass emissions test? If it won't pass the smog check I'll sell it here.

Answer:

If your Ford F-150 Supercrew has been well maintained you shouldn't have a problem passing the California smog test. If you have an emission test center where you're at you can have the emission test done prior to coming to California and compare the emission results with California's cut scores.

The emission test in your State will not be valid in California but you'll get a good idea of where you stand. Follow the link below and select your vehicle. It will give you the current cut scores required to pass the smog check in California. The tested emissions are HC, CO, and NOx (NOx only if you are moving to an Enhanced Smog Check County).
