1991 Pontiac Firebird When Does the Smog Certificate Expire?
I just bought a 1991 Pontiac Firebird and the seller said it has a two year smog certificate. I just want to know if it's already expired or if I can just go to DMV and register it to get my sticker. Thank you.
Answer:
For the purpose of vehicle registration a California smog check certificate is valid for 90 days from the date of the smog inspection; so it depends on when the seller of this Pontiac Firebird had the smog check done to the car.
