Does Brand New Trade In Vehicle Need A Smog Check?

In an Automotive Dealership, a brand new vehicle is traded in with 5,000 miles on it. Does that vehicle require a smog check before resale?

Answer:

No smog check should be needed if the vehicle is "new"; by definition. You can always contact the DMV at (800) 777- 0133 for information specific to the vehicle in question. posted by SmogTips Support
