Possible smog with no reverse gear? 2000 Honda Civic HX

My car's reverse gear does not work but forward gears works fine. The MIL is giving off a P1885 code which indicates a CVT Drive Pulley Speed Sensor Circuit malfunction. Given that this code is not emission related, will my car be able to be smog checked? Thank you.
Answer:

Nothing in the smog check manual indicates a vehicle can not be smog checked if the transmission is mising the reverse gear or if reverse is not working, but there is the matter of the illuminated malfuncition indicator lamp. Your Honda Civic can not pass the smog check with its MIL light ON, even if the code is for the CVT Drive Pully Speed Sensor Circuit. The ARB has identifed this fault as to affect emissions; as such, it is a smog check failure. You will need to fix the CVT problem and then have your Honda Civic smog tested.
