1976 Chevy G20 Passed Emissions But Missing EGR and CAT

My 1976 Chevy G20 van with 292 L6 engine, passed the CA smog emissions test but was failed because it has no catalytic converter or EGR valve. The engine has no place for an EGR. What was stock CA emissions equipment for this vehicle? I'm missing my emissions sticker.

Answer:

According to our resources, both versions of your vehicle; 50-State California Emissions equipped and 49-State Non-CA, do not have an EGR valve or catalytic converter. You might want to revisit the smog station that performed the smog check on your vehicle and ask them to re-check their Emissions Application Guide. If their documention shows different, please contact the State Smog Check Referee Office at (800) 622-7733 for final determination.
