Ford Ranger ABS Light On During Smog Test

Hello. I own a 2002 Ford Ranger. If my ABS light is on, will that cause me to fail the smog check?

Answer:

The smog check does not inspect the ABS light. As long as the fault which is causing the ABS light to illuminate is not causing the check engine light (CEL) to turn on as well, your Ford Ranger can pass the smog test. posted by SmogTips Support
