I failed my EA advanced emission technician exam. I am looking for a specific book to help me study, any suggestions?

Can you recommend any books or manuals out there that can help me pass my California EA smog technician exam. I took the computerized smog exam to get my advanced emissions technician license twice and failed both times.

If you're looking for one book to study the entire content of state's smog technicians exam either (EA or BA), it doesn't exist. Getting a smog technician license would be way too easy that way. The only way is... You've got to study the categories/subjects one by one. ASE and alternates will have the proper study material for L1 (Advanced Engine Performance Diagnosis; this is the one you want to focus on), A8 and A6. Several manuals and study guides are available for these subjects in book stores, libraries and online. Prentice-Hall, Inc. probably makes the best study material and text books on soft back, hard back and CD-ROM. posted by SmogTips Support
