What Can I Do If My Car Has An Obsolete Emission Parts?

I own an older vehicle, all emissions are difficult to find, i.e. the catalytic converter. How does this apply to smog emissions testing since they no longer make parts for this year of car?

Answer:

Please contact the State Smog Check Referee Office by calling (800) 622-7733. They will schedule your vehicle for an inspection. If they can not located components for your vehicle which are causing it to fail the smog inspection, they may be able to award you a smog check exemption.
